About Me...
I’m Zakai Hernandez, a 25 year old filmmaker based in Tampa, Florida and the creator of Flawda Films. Before pursuing film, I served four years in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that helped shape me into the person I am today.
After leaving the military, I made the decision to follow my passion. I started by creating fashion content, filming and starring in my own videos. Through that process I discovered how much I enjoyed having a camera in my hands and the art of visual storytelling.
That passion led me to take the leap into film school at Full Sail University, where I’m currently working to sharpen my skills and grow as a filmmaker. Flawda Films is my way of bringing all of this together and a space where I can create, experiment, and share stories that are real and meaningful.
